The original (When the Bough Breaks) was a Silence of the Lambs cash-in and a genuinely chilling affair — in fact, it went on to become one of the most successful straight-to-video releases of all time. This sequel is not quite in the same league — none of the original cast is on hand, either — but it is still a creepy affair, with Kelly McGillis stepping into Ally Walker's shoes as the Texas Ranger tracking a serial killer who's preying on successful career women, torturing them and then dumping their suffocated bodies in a series of bizarre poses around the state. David Keith and Bruce Dern offer solid support.
Fairly average film. Not much suspense due to the fact that the killer is known almost from the start. This was disappointing as I watched the film with my wife and she is incredibly good at predicting who the villain is.The main police character as usual has many and varied personal issues but still prevails....
