Dreadful beyond belief...By Big Gal Al from Scotland , 02 Dec 2004
[Highly rated reviewer]This film should be wiped from your list immediately. Unless, of course, you are so firmly stuck in the 1980's that you still have leather triangles sown onto your triple sheepskin green effect jumper (ala 1987).
The film is awful. There is no point to it at all. It's a film, for film's sake...
Awful, awful, awful... don't rent this. Unless,of course, you want to see what the gorgeous Uma looked like before she met a great Hollywood orthodontist (actually probably worth renting if you're a budding dentist... her teeth then are NOTHING compared to now)
Dreadful, give it a wide berth.

home is where the heart is...By Thedonald (61 reviews) from Aberdeen , 08 Feb 2008Where The Heart Is is a wonderful film. I love watching this type of music because the characters are so real and the story is enchanting enough to keep you watching. Its the kind of thing that turns up on tv in the afternoon from time to time and while on the surface is the story of aman that loses everything and sees what is important, its a littl emore than that.
Uma Thurman and Suzy Amis make a crazy pair of sisters, Dabney Coleman plays this side of on the edge and it adds up to an hour and a half well spent.
It all has a great attention to detail and I enjoyed it and was pleasantly surprised by just how good it turned out to be.
MEDIOCREBy a customer from Torquay, Devon , 01 Jun 2005Waste of time watching it - I persevered because I'm not a quitter, and was fooled into thinking that because Uma Thurman was in it it must be good!
One to missBy a customer from Malmesbury England , 17 May 2005This film was so dire - we didn't even watch it to the end.
absolute rubbish!!!By a customer from England , 21 Apr 2005was rubbish didnt watch it all was that bad
Definitely not in the movieBy Andrew Hallett from Wolverhampton , 29 Mar 2005It's like one of those television movies that you watch because:
a. You can't be bothered to turn it over
b. It's a little different and you keep hoping that it might get better.
It's ok but it's nothing to write home about. It has some nice touches and it's not without merit but I wouldn't bother unless TV movie comedy is your bag.
