V.Good, but 10 min too long

A good, atmospheric film, perhaps a little too long at 50min.

The acting is excellent, (little dialogue though) no gore or violence, yet towards the last five minutes it manages to be psychologically disturbing at a fundamental level.

It reaches the `child? in us all.

I had been trying to get hold of this ever since it ranked in channel 4's top scariest moments of all time.

Initially I thought I was going to be dissapointed, but was I wrong.

The sense of impending dread is overwhelming, and at times it is almost unbearable to watch.

It's everything 'The Haunting' should have been. (the remake anyway).

A real gem, just a pity it's on little over half an hour.
