Following in the footsteps of his Happy Days co-stars Henry Winkler and Ron Howard, Anson Williams (Potsie in the much-loved sitcom) tried his hand at directing, with episodes of TV series such as LA Law, Melrose Place and Xena: Warrior Princess, and the odd TV movie. He hasn't achieved the success of his former colleagues, particularly Howard (now the director of blockbusters such as Apollo 13), but this lightweight romantic comedy makes its mark. Ann Jillian stars as a detective on holiday in Rome who pretends to be a millionairess when she meets supposedly impoverished fellow tourist Tim Matheson, unaware that he is in fact a rich doctor. When they fall in love and continue their relationship (and their deception) back in the States, the tale becomes a touch predictable, but as undemanding viewing it remains very entertaining.
