With Griffin Dunne hot off the back of his triumph in Martin Scorsese's After Hours and Madonna in dire need of a hit after the Shanghai Surprise fiasco, you'd have thought the two stars would have plumped for something more substantial than this woeful attempt at screwball comedy à la Bringing Up Baby. Slouching, chewing gum and mistiming wisecracks with the nonchalance of a rock star convinced her presence is a favour to the producer, Madonna is a shadow of the sassy star of Desperately Seeking Susan. Accepting his second-fiddle status, Dunne gets on with his work quietly and efficiently.

    Another Madonna Turkey.

Saw this when it first came out on vhs many years ago.Thought it was dire then.

Gave it another chance recently, still dire.Trying to be like a fifties/sixties off the wall ,kooky, crazy love story.Madonna why do you make such stinkers.

This is probably the second worst film i've had the misfortune to watch. The first was the ultimate cack Boys in Blue feat Cannon & Ball, remember them. That's how bad Who's That Girl is.Avoid.

    Whos that girl

Being a madonna fan myself i want to really see this movie,i thought it might be a bit rubbish but was very surprised, madge plays nikki fin,a ex con who wants to clear her name of murder. And ends up falling in love at the same time. This movie is funny, and madge plays nikki brilliantly.5 stars from me.
