Entertaining and engaging slice of urban lifeBy Crimefilmfan (19 reviews) from Orpington , 31 Oct 2012This is a winning, contemporary film about inner city grind and a father's redemption that gets the tone just right. It's not all wallowing in the terrible-ness of life and everything, nor is it 'geezer, mockney' slapstick nonsense. Charlie Creed-Miles is excellent as the far-from-perfect ex-con lead and his two sons are also played very well by young actors. Only Andy Serkis - as a local crime boss - brings a large slice of ham to the proceedings. Well worth a look.

Very good, engaging and entertaining...By SiSlayRD500 (165 reviews) from Solihull , 25 Oct 2012This was very good, engaging and entertaining.
Considering the premise of the film, type etc, it's actually quite touching in its own way. Nearly all of the characters are well played / acted and believable.
Overall I'd definitely recommend giving this a watch - another good British film.
Add to your list!!By a customer , 24 Oct 2012Excellent gritty British drama. The acting was superb, which is only to be expected of Charlie Creed-Miles (who we don't see enough of!), but even the children were good for a change!! You will enjoy this if you liked the likes of Kidulthood because it is far better, but of the same genre.
Had high hopes...By rhosoftherovers (11 reviews) , 19 Oct 2012...and they were realised! Dexter Fletcher isn't a name that immediately springs to mind when thinking of great directors, but this film was excellent. All the lead roles were played with superb feeling for the character and the story, though a little predictable at times, really picked out the humanity in each of them. Fantastic showcase for British talent.
