Most helpful review
Not a good one

I found this film to be quite drawn out and boring. I can understand what they were trying to show in the film, they just made it seem weird instead.- Was this review helpful to you?

(10)Wild soft porn fantasy.
By Bobsview (549 reviews) from Gloucestershire , 23 Aug 2012Disappointing erotic drama fantasy. This is no nine and a half weeks. Mickey Rourke spends the entire film as the usual enigmatic character with the permanent stupid self satisfied smirk which is supposed to be sexy. Was considered soft porn once but nothing too racy now. A newly qualified lawyer goes on a business trip in Rio which turns out to be her sexual awakening. Meanwhile there is a loud carnival going on throughout the entire film! It is watchable but only just.- Was this review helpful to you?

Don't bother.

What a waste of precious time. If that's what was one of the best erotic films of early nineties, I don't want to see the worst lol.- Was this review helpful to you?

Hot Rio Nights!!!!
By a customer from Wolverhampton , 21 Jan 2010I rented this movie as I am a huge 'Mickey Rourke' fan and loved him in 'Nine And A Half Weeks', but unfortunately this film doesn't even compare.
Rourke in his early days was just gorgeous and you could easily fall for his seductive charms, but good looks is simply not enough to hold this film together.
Model 'Carre Otis' is totally stunning to watch on screen but her acting leaves a lot to be desired, although if your looking for a bit of naked eye candy then you won't be disappointed.
The only positive comment I can give is that Rourke & Otis have great chemistry on screen (They Were A Couple At The Time) and the scandal around whether they actually had real sex on camera while filming one of their love scene's, has later produced an uncut version of this movie. :)- Was this review helpful to you?

Erotically Meaningless
By a customer from London , 29 Oct 2008Quite a meaningless but erotic film. dunno what Wheeler(Mickey Rourke) was trying to say or do or teach Emily(Carre Otis). sending your woman to another man for her to 'discover' her sexuality is not my idea of making my woman 'aware' of herself. I'll do that myself thank you.- Was this review helpful to you?
