Cornwall's St Gweep plays host to some odd goings-on and inhabitants. There's Mary Trewednack (Dawn French) and her life-partner Angela, who run the local Post Office cum shop. There's the curator of the Witchcraft Museum, Holly (a strange girl), there's the frankly thick Harry, and Jeff the pub landlord and Daphne his wife, who's deaf. This quirky comedy from MEN BEHAVING BADLY's writer Simon Nye is packed with caricatured Cornish odd-bods and wierd and mystical occurences.

Its the little things that I loved about this. Dawn French and Catherine Tate are excellent but it's the 'little bits' that the other characters bring that were hysterical. Very unreal in places and a bit surreal in others but I laughed out loud all the way through!
I enjoted this enormously. Off beat off the wall comedy.
