Wild Wild West

Barry Sonnenfeld is reunited with his MEN IN BLACK star Will Smith in this gadget-soaked romp based (loosely) on the 1960s television show. WILD WILD WEST supplies many impressive visuals (thanks to brilliant production designer Bo Welch) and some hearty laughs. Will Smith is James West, a Civil War hero and U.S. marshal inclined to shoot first and ask questions later. His partner is the wacky inventor and pseudointellectual Artemus Gordon (Kevin Kline). The team is created when the world's leading scientists are kidnapped by a diabolical madman named Dr. Arliss Loveless (Kenneth Branagh), and President Ulysses S. Grant (also played by Kevin Kline) wants his two best men on the job. Loveless's machines have the creepy fun feeling of EDWARD SCISSORHANDS (Welch again)--many of them have a spider motif--and Artemus Gordon rivals him with his own fun inventions. An odd but enjoyable blend of science fiction and old-school Western, WILD WILD WEST is packed with cool images and slick action sequences.

Wild Wild Absolute Sh*t (0 stars)

When I was young I had this moth in a jar. Now this moth was no ordinary moth. This moth was about the size of your finger and then its wings. Not understanding the whole 'oxygen' thing I held it in that jar for four days straight with no air. Every night it would bleat around the jar waking me up. So one day I decided to let it free. When I opened the jar after those four days with no air, the moth flew straight at me and I quibbled like a ten year old (which was ok since I was ten years old). Small things have to settle for small revenge; and so the moth left me be and took off into the night sky. I never saw the moth again. But one day when I opened up my draw, all my underpants had been eaten. The moral to this story is - Wild Wild West is so cheesy and so spewingly Hollywood - that it makes the above story look like a prize winning novel. Use this DVD for a coaster.

    Why bother

This must possibly be the worst film ever made. After I watched this I realised that I had infact lost an hour and half of my life and will never get it back...this actually depressed me for the whole day and I still get a little teary eyed thinking about it now, It's painful remembering any scene from this movie.

My simple question is 'why bother?'
