A routine Goldie Hawn comedy in which most of the interest is generated by the sight of some familiar faces in the supporting cast who were making their first steps on the way to stardom. Hawn is the fledgeling American football coach who sets about transforming a terrible college side, much to the disbelief of the macho team members, who include a young Wesley Snipes and Woody Harrelson, stars of 1992's basketball comedy White Men Can't Jump and the fast-moving thriller Money Train. There are some amusing moments, good supporting turns from Swoosie Kurtz and M Emmet Walsh, and, as usual, Hawn's comic timing can't be faulted. In the end, however, it remains one for die-hard fans only.
