Creepy, but not scary.
Willard review

I approached this film expecting an all out, final destination style gore-fest, albeit with a different premise (revenge and rats). However, what i found was a particularly dark and atmospheric film which creeped me out in places but wasn't an all-out shocker. Crispin Glover has to be one of the most underrated actors in Hollywood this moment, and his powerful turn as the bullied and down trodden Willard is exceptional. Special note also to R.Lee Ermey as his sadistic and unrelenting boss who presents a performance not too unlike the one he gave in Full Metal Jacket. Although in times Willard's relationship with his rats can be slightly embarrassing (especially the way Ben is portrayed as a homocidal criminal mastermind) there is enough atmosphere and tension in this film to warrant a viewing.
