Robert Luketic, the director of LEGALLY BLONDE, helms this retro romantic comedy that stars Kate Bosworth as Rosalee Futch, a modern day Sandra Dee embroiled in a whirlwind love triangle. Rosalee, a naively innocent small-town girl works at her local Piggly Wiggly and dreams of love with movie hunk Tad Hamilton (Josh Duhamel) .. Read more

This pleasing romantic comedy from Legally Blonde director Robert Luketic may break no new ground, but it treads old territory with surprising sweetness. Kate Bosworth plays Rosalee, a small-town supermarket checkout girl who enters a competition to win a date with dreamboat Hollywood superstar Tad (Josh Duhamel, from TV's Las Vegas). And, of course, she wins, much to the chagrin of her co-worker Pete, who's secretly in love with her. Tad initially regards Rosalee as just another potential notch on the bedpost, but gradually finds himself falling head over heels for the girl's simple charms. Next thing you know, he's off to Hicksville to woo and win her. Nicely underplayed and with likeably credible leads, this is the sort of film for which the term feel-good might have been especially coined.
Bright, unmemorable, romantic comedy that stays in the shallows.
This is a good enough movie, don't expect anything great, but it is reasonably entertaining, raises a few smiles and whiles away an evening pleasantly enough. It doesn't pretend to be anything more than a teen romance movie.
I have to say this was lovely to watch. Definetley more a chick flick but a must see all the same.
I am a big fan of That 70's show and I have always liked Topher Grace in that, so it was nice to see him in something without the awful wig.
The acting was good, and although it was an obvious story, it was enjoyable to watch all the same. It may even be one I could watch again.
To summerise, a fairytale story with lots of eye candy and a good film all round.
I watched this with my wife thinking it would be a real chick flick!
And It was but a very good one ,it was funny in places and I watched the whole thing no problem!
the story will not surprise anyone and you will be able to guess the ending before it starts (no 6th scence Twist here!)but like I said some funny lines good acting and a very watchable film!
Get it and enjoy!

I really liked this film, but mainly because Josh Duhamel looked really cute - and phwoar what a body!
It's definitely a Sunday movie - don't set any expectations and you'll enjoy it.

I really enjoyed this movie, predictable but nevertheless a good movie.
Funny, great plot, Likeable characters, good choice of actors; including the gorgeous Topher Grace, Kate Bosworth and Josh Duhamel.
One to watch for a teen night in. Recommended.
I found this to be an enjoyable film to watch, it is the typical best friend loves best friend but she loves hunky actor movie. But it is perfect for a Saturday afternoon indoors with a glass of wine and a box of tissues.
I like chick flicks and although I wasn't expecting much from this it was worse than I thought. It isn't very heart warming, it isn't sad, happy or dramatic. It just plods along barely holding your interest. I would have switched over to watch Coronation Street had it been on (and I don't watch that either (well not much)).
The only decent thing in it was Topher Grace with his dry sense of humour reminded me of Pacey from Dawsons Creek but please don't try to compare you'll only be gravely disappointed. Watch ANYTHING else instead.
I didn't think I was going to like this film but put it on as there was nothing else on the tv nor going on around the house.... I have to say how surprise I was to find that I did infact enjoy it and would watch it again :o) a very enjoyable girlie movie :o)
i thought this was an excellent film...if ur romantic...GET IT.
With this film you get exactly what you are expecting to get. Small town where a boy & girl have been friends all their lives. Boy loves girl but girl doesnt know it. Boy is about to tell girl when big movie star comes & falls for girl. Girl then has to choose. However, this is well acted by all & does not fail to deliver. Well worth watching with your girlfriends.
Apart from being highly predictable it leaves you with a smile on your face and the humour is entertaining, not obviously funny but sharp at times.
It's one for a lazy Sunday afternoon if you are looking for a fun, loving easy going movie that might just spark a few romantic memories of your own.
It's fun!
