    Worth seeing

This film is about a girl that used to be a Tofu Beauty but for some reason as you will discover in the film became a Kung Fu expert. Its a funny yet serious film and is easy to follow and enjoy. I watch alot of Martial Art films and eastern films and I think this was decent and not at all budget made. Wing chun rescues a girl from bandits and soon this young girl has started working for her and her aunt with foul breath! Very amusing bits to the film, especially getting the dirty old men to line up to speed up sales!

    Wing Chun

Overall, a good film with fast paced (though 'over cranked'/ 'sped up') fight choreography.

The story isn't the story of how Wing Chun was founded or originated & developed as a system (as many felt it was or should be), rather a heavily fictionalised & fanciful tale about Yim Wing Chun.

For those aware of the Wing Chun style, with it's minimal movement and direct attacks; it will be easy to see that the Wing Chun in this film is not pure WC by any means. The high kicks, and gymnastic manaeuvours serve no part in it whatsoever; what does remain is essentially some WC poses and similar hand movements at close range (Donnie Yen comments on this in the extras). But overall that does not really distract from the film; a real serious drama on the life of Yim WC with 100% authentic WC in it, probably wouldn't have been nearly as successful, or even be widely available.

For those who enjoyed this movie, look out for 'Warriors Two' coming from Hong Kong Legends next year, in my opinion by far the best movie with WC in it thus far, but also one of the best martial art movies ever!
