comically awfulBy a customer from bracknell , 03 Mar 2006
[Highly rated reviewer]So bad its good.
Terrible corny dialogue is the main problem. Sample:-
Instructor (Tommy-Lee Jones in usual Tommy-Lee style of delivery) to pupil pilot:- 'If you crash and kill us all, this mission, will be, a failure.'

Lower than 0.5 star 'Painful' rating required!By a customer from Portsmouth , 07 May 2009How so many named stars (and the US Army) could let themselves be associated with such a corny, cliché ridden film is beyond me.
Painful is an understatement.
allanBy a customer from Paisley , 07 Apr 2009good fiim and story line
Still a good filmBy a customer from Cheadle , 28 Jan 2009I had forgotten what a good film wings of the apache is.
The story is about a pilot jake preston who has his wingman killed by a gun for hire pilot while helping to fight the drug cartel.
An Apache task force is set up and jake goes into his training to become an apache pilot, while he is a supurb pilot he struggles with some of the high tech equipment on the apache and is in danger of being thrown off his course. With help from an instructor and his friends he passes out on his course and deploys with the apache task force on a mission to attack the drug cartel.
This film has a great cast with good acting and some amazing aieral footage of apache helicopters being put through there paces, a very good film thats does not really show its age and is still fun to watch.
Top gun in helicoptersBy a customer from Bognor Regis , 17 Dec 2008It's a mirracle Nicholas Cage had a career after this very 80's Top Gun nock off. A little bit of action at the begining a quite good bit of action at the end and most of the rest of the film devoted to Cage trying to overcome his lazy eye and get it together with his ex girlfriend. Cheesey but watchable.
acting lessons are neededBy winetaster (25 reviews) from Stratford on Avon , 27 Nov 2008You watch this film and then you think how did cage become so big well after this he must of used his wages and judging of the quality of the film he either sold his soul to the devil or bought some acting lessons.
what is even more interesting is that i watched this te film when i was wee lad and the thought that was great now it was really poor.
