A Daughter's Love For Her Family
By WINWIN (32 reviews) from London , 10 Sep 2010[Highly rated reviewer]
This is a moving,well-made film, with a cast of largely unknown actors. The lead actress, Jennifer Lawrence, is a star in the making, believe me!- Was this review helpful to you?

(211)A southern not quite so comfort
By leebee112 (1 review) , 26 Apr 2013This is an intelligent about life many viewers might find hard to relate to. I found this film gripping and full of twists at turns which were quite shocking and unexpected, the main thing is it had a story too. As i cant bear a film that's violent for violent sake. Fantastic acting in particular by Jenifer Lawrence- Was this review helpful to you?

Alarmingly bleak
By DickNature (5 reviews) , 02 Apr 2013Good acting by the lead but is it worth giving up two hours of your evening if you even got the antiques roadshow as a possible option? - hell no!- Was this review helpful to you?

Great story
By a customer , 31 Mar 2013Good film with strong performances. Gritty, if not a little knowing, but very well made film, interesting take on women and children in this community and excellent story.- Was this review helpful to you?

Watchable fair winter broth.
By Bobsview (549 reviews) from Gloucestershire , 12 Mar 2013Dour bleak menacing drama about a 17 year old girl raising her younger brother and sister with a very sick mother and an absent violent criminal father. Her house is being repossessed as it was put up for a bond against her father who has absconded and thus she needs to find him or his body.- Was this review helpful to you?
