    Exciting, edgy, complusive viewing

Not sure if 'enjoyed' is the right word but I thought this was an excellent film!

A tough, procedural drama, with good acting and a good plot. A psychological thriller that had me on the edge of my seat and no way could I even pause it, to get a coffee! Getting into the mind of a killer is what Tony Hill, the psycholgist does, and does it in a plausible, believable way.

The 15 rating does not indicate the tenor of the film though - by my book it is an 18, and not for the faint hearted.

    A classic series.

Well worth catching these programmes if you missed them when they were on telly.

Although crime drama has been done to death on TV, these programmes do add an interest slant to the police/psychiatrist relationship.

    Gritty plot with good characters

A pacy thriller that is faithful to the books. The characters have a crackling chemistry and the plot is well crafted.

    Mermaids Rising

This is an excellent film in the Wire in The Blood series starring Robson Greene and Hermione Norris. It is not for the feinthearted, however, as the film does contain a significant amount of sadistic adult sexual content in graphic detail. There are lots of twists to the storyline and plenty of red herrings to keep the viewer engrossed. Robson plays a particularly good, slightly geeky, clinical psychologist who seems to spend most of his spare time playing games consoles. The chemistry between his character and Hermiones is close and full of tension but not at all contrived. I would recommend this film to anyone who has an interest in psychological thrillers and complex whodunnits.

Wire in the blood gives us something to digest...

I was unlucky enough to have missed all but one episode on TV, the one I did see left me hungry to watch the rest and my penance was having to wait till they were released on DVD.

Such a brilliant writer... an intellegent watch, something to get your brain cells ticking, and heart pounding, every single episode of this series. The BEST thing Ive seen on the small screen for a VERY long time.

Mermaids Singing latches onto the bandwagon that BDSM and serial killers go hand in hand (oh yawn!!!)not all perverts have the social skills of Fred & Rosemary West, and most trannies are very submissive, not transgendered pyschos.

Dont try this at home kids, these sadomasochistic acts do not comply with SM Pride rules of Safe, Sane and Consensual at all!!!

Worth watching for the misguided (news of the world preconception) representation of the BDSM scene, and how Robson deals with his sexuality crisis!

If you liked Cracker you'll like this!

The best crime series for a long time. The murders just keep on happening and it's up to the Police who are pretty useless and Robson Green's character Tony as the psycologist to work out a profile and then catch the person responsible. There's also a twist at the end! Very good series we will be watching the rest having missed these on TV.

    Excellent All Round!

This brilliantly paced and executed series is a must-see for fans of films such as 'The Silence of the Lambs' or lovers of mystery-thrillers. Robson Green is a revelation in the lead role of Tony Hill; giving what can only be described as a pitch-perfect performance. Personally, I rented the first 2 discs and then promptly ordered all 3 series the next day.

    Gripping Stuff

Kept me glued to the seat and it was a great not to have to wait for the next episode.

Robson Green really is compelling in this role.

    He should do more!
