  • The Wire is not only the best programme on television again but, amazingly, even better than the first series

  • Gritty, utterly involving cop show. A dozen slices of brilliance.

    Excellent

I found this a lot better than the first series, probably helped by the fact i already knew the characters. Plot lines and acting are fantastic, not a bad actor among them. I cannot recommend this enough. I am not a fan of 'cop' shows, but this and The Shield are the only ones worth watching.

    Back with a Bang

The best Cop series ever returns for a second series and its like its never been away. Following on from the first, new characters are added to orginal cast of charcters and this time the story follows two paths, the ongoing berksdale story of the first series and a new darker story invovling human trafficking and european gangsters. riverting from the first episode this has a great cast acting out truly rounded characters, it being an HBO presentation the language is strong, gritty and realistic adding to emersive atmosphere and is really compelling viewing. A must see but you need to watch to have watched the first series before this.
