Or you can rent each disc individually:
I only caught up with this on TV on series 2 so am thoroughly enjoying series 1 on DVD. Fantastic plot lines, dialogue, acting, this is one of the best of the US drama/cop series.
BUT, I've had to ask for Disc 1 back again because I didn't realise these are double-sided DVDs, with six episodes on each disc - three on each side! So just bear this in mind, but then probably most people won't be as technologically challenged as me!
Without A Trace is so fantastically acted that it gets to a point where one starts getting emotionally invested in the character that's missing, even if its a sly upper class businessman. Having rented the first disk of season one (remember - the dvd's are double sided), I am incredibly impressed with even the dvd layout where you get to see cut scenes through the 'missing evidence' option next to the episode, complete with commentary on the pilot episode. I've never really been one for crime series', but I believe this to be fantastic. While it seems true that to watch an episode more than once may be a little tedius, I tend to disagree due to the excellent acting and just overall genius of the script that for the second time through things will just make more sense. For value too - there must be over four hours worth of viewing on each disk. Looking forward to receiving the next disk.
