I only caught up with this on TV on series 2 so am thoroughly enjoying series 1 on DVD. Fantastic plot lines, dialogue, acting, this is one of the best of the US drama/cop series.
BUT, I've had to ask for Disc 1 back again because I didn't realise these are double-sided DVDs, with six episodes on each disc - three on each side! So just bear this in mind, but then probably most people won't be as technologically challenged as me!
Another excellent US series, they seem to spawn sucessful series like this waithout blinking, CSI, House, 24, Monk etc etc all superbly watchable. If like us you cannot possibly wait a week before seeing the next episode (or like us you don't run your life around TV scheduling) you can sit through two or three of these a night, and rental is the perfect way of doing it. Definately recommended.
Excellent sereies from start to finish.
Lovers of Cops/Crime and Legal Drama's will love this one....
Anthony La Paglia is excellent and must be the most under-rated American Actors.

I'm a big fan of Without a Trace. Ever since discovering series 2 on channel 4 I've been itching to see the first series. The first six episodes certainly do not disappoint and I'm sure that the rest of them won't either.
Without A Trace is so fantastically acted that it gets to a point where one starts getting emotionally invested in the character that's missing, even if its a sly upper class businessman. Having rented the first disk of season one (remember - the dvd's are double sided), I am incredibly impressed with even the dvd layout where you get to see cut scenes through the 'missing evidence' option next to the episode, complete with commentary on the pilot episode. I've never really been one for crime series', but I believe this to be fantastic. While it seems true that to watch an episode more than once may be a little tedius, I tend to disagree due to the excellent acting and just overall genius of the script that for the second time through things will just make more sense. For value too - there must be over four hours worth of viewing on each disk. Looking forward to receiving the next disk.
This is another excellent crime procedural from the US. This one is set in New York and with the FBI missing persons squad. At least it is not always 'murder of the week' and though some episodes do end that why it is more about finding out why people disappear.
im a massive fan of police dram series. CSI Is by far the best but this has to come pretty close to beating it. Excellent plots, good acting, intense and original viewing.
Very cool drama. Intensely thrilling.
One of the best crime series to come out of the States. If there is one thing that Jerry B. does well is a crime series and Without a Trace is no exception. You genuinely care about each person in each episode and feel part of the professional (and sometimes not so professional) relationships. Characters are build quickly and strongly. It is fair comment that once you have watched an episode you would rarely go back and watch it again, however I did watch the first series on TV and have sat through all the episodes again. An absolute must rent if you enjoy other Buckheimer products.
it was very good the way the programmes was done recoomand to eery one
