    Montag the not so magnificent

OK. I admit it. I LOVE H.G. Lewis' deranged original of this film. Lewis' 1970 version is badly directed and edited, appallingly paced and diabolically acted. But, it is also much much more fun than this remake. Everything about this remake is of a higher quality than the original but all to no avail. In this update the director and scriptwriter have tried to add reason and explanation to the story. why they bothered is anyone guess. Lewis' original is just downright bizarre and all the better for it. I admit to having high hopes forthis film but its just another remake that has got me scurrying back to absolute chaotic madness of the one-of a- kind original
