[Highly rated reviewer]the girl was quite outstanding in her fighting moves.
Not Serious Enough For RevengeBy drunkenmaster (479 reviews) from Merthyr Tydfil, , 30 Jan 2007This poor effort of a revenge tale has very little to recommend it. The fights are slow and sloppy, and considering the story is about a woman who is raped and her husband murdered by bandits, there seems to be no real drama and a general tone that remains too light.
A Kung Fu remake of I Spit On Your GraveBy Joseph Kuby from England , 19 Nov 2005Though if it was directed by Chang Cheh, it would have lived up to its inspiration.
Also, if he directed it there wouldn't be an ounce of humour, unless it was extremely dark humour (like if the protagonist was to cut off the genitals of one of the rapists and placed it somewhere for the other rapists to find).
As it stands, this take on the Brazilian cult classic is still quite violent with a new twist - the women are the teachers of martial combat.
The fight scenes are fairly exhilarating with a nice sense of urgeny and danger when the woman is confronted by bladed weaponary.

WOMAN AVENGERBy a customer from Yorkshire UK , 04 Jun 2005Dubbing is poor, but understandable, transfer Quality to CD poor, Some decent fight lessons, but I think the ending could have been much better. It seemed left open, and I feel the build up was suddenly dropped with THE END popping up in words.
Ok for light entertainment!
Kung Female PhooeyBy a customer from Essex, England , 14 Apr 2005Quite average until the end when she gets really angry and fights brilliantly punching and kicking furiously. Rent this for the end.
