This is the first season of Wonder Woman, with all the action set during WWII. All the usual fun is included; no-one noticing how much Diana resembles Wonder Woman, no-one questioning how Wonder Woman always manages to come to Steve Trevor's rescue and of course, the bullet-repelling bracelets and the lasso of truth. I'd never seen these episodes before, and I think they're probably better overall than the later adventures set in the 70s. And of course, Lynda Carter looks great in that costume.
There is a lot can be talked about here relating to how this tv series was something of a milestone in tv history. One of the first women lead action shows, the first and only Wonder Woman adaptation, the gender juxtaposition of the dominant/submissive roles, the groundbreaking technology used at the time and the obvious campness of the series. All of this is good stuff and is true of the series, but you know non of that seemed to matter to me when I was watching this aged 10. It was simply a belting series that I made sure I did not miss. Lynda Carter was probably my first crush before I knew properly what a crush was. Watch this, take yourself back to your childhood and enjoy. If you have never seen this before you will probably wonder what the hell I am on about!

I originally wasn't sure at first as it took so long to get into the pilot, but I really enjoyed it. I had never seen it on TV, so I was watching it with fresh/ new eyes.
I find it clever that Wonder Woman/ Diana Price is able to mimic any voice and the villians are well thought out. Steve seems a bit thick at times... but hey this is a female Super Woman who has an invisible plane- surely pilots could see her if we can? But I could be mistaken. Where's the door? How does she get changed back? Maybe these questions will be answered in the next disc.
I am looking forward to watching the rest of Wonder Woman
Oh my! This brings back memories of being fifteen and Saturday nights meant an overdose of testerone watching this georgeous amazon doing naughty things with her lassoo. I wonder if it'll look differently now? :-)
The 1970's gave us lots of cult classics like the Bionic Woman and her TV rival was Wonder Woman. Year 1 is based in 1940's World War 2 setting and is seldom screened in the UK. Its passable and reminds you of the Batman 1960's series with its word balloons and captions. Then Years 2 & 3 are set in the 1970's and are more like the Bionic Woman in pace and action. The highlight is Lynda Carter and her ability to deal with all scripts, storylines & situations!! Just watch out for those 70's fashions in the later series!!! A good series for fun, & light hearted superheroics....roll on the big screen adventure from Joss Whedon & the return of Wonder Woman! Cue the catchy/jazzy music...
Pretty dated but even so this is fun and funny. First viewing was just to laugh at the hammy acting; second viewing was laughing with. It's pretty subtle but the humour's there. Watch for WW's mum.
Still, can't help wondering what the Major was *for*, and how Steve could be so stupid not to recognise Wonder Woman just because she put glasses on.
Linda Carter is a delight - she's got a lovely smile. The WW costume looks rather tight around the middle, though.
Strange echoes of 9/11, with the threat of an attack on the US homeland.
Great DVD collection of the seventies and early eightes series wonderwoman. Transfer is pretty good and dvd release has been spring cleaned. Few extras but well worth a rental. As my brother would say, pure cheese on toast!
still watchable and strangely compelling in a baywatch type way.
Only wish my wife could get changed that quickly!
Funny as I never realised how simple this programme was. No major special effects either. It had a nostalig value to it.
