[Highly rated reviewer]this dvd (much like the superman doomsday) is superbly made and anyone expecting cheese will be surprised how much lord of the rings style action and how good the characterisation is.
don't expect the awesome linda carter tv series (!) - this slight re-imagining makes me think that a new live action wonder woman film would be a good idea, and if there was another film like this made i would surely watch it.

Entertaining enough - note the 12 certificateBy Robbiedjude (95 reviews) from Plymouth , 12 Oct 2013For a movie celebrating wonder woman - and while this is entertaining - this has the feel like it was written by boys for boys, maybe I'm being a bit down on it but to me the Air Force Colonel came across as a bit of a doucehbag And whats with DC making all their cartoons all adult - this one had stabbings, human sacrifices and broken necks, Emeral Knights had someone being torn to bits and in the first 5 minutes of the new Justice League someone shot themselves in the head!
Very enjoyable!By a customer , 06 Oct 2013A well executed origin story. Given recent efforts to do origin stories I was pleasantly surprised. Good plot, and interesting characters. Very entertaining, recommended.
Amazing Amazon!By Rigamortis (102 reviews) from South London , 04 Oct 2013They may have been struggling to find decent plots for the Wonder Woman TV series and movie, but they came up with a corker for this cartoon. This is a fan-tas-tic tale of the origins of Wonder Woman. This tale of the Amazons has a taste of authenticity from the start. It doesn't (often) patronise you with hand held trips through mythology to expain everything, it just tells the story and trusts you to be smart enough to keep up. Wonder Woman and her sisters are beautifully brutal and uncompromising as they retaliate against the oppression of men and gods alike. They are angels with muscles in a magic paradise that is forced back into the focus of mankind in a modern age. And watch out world. The only thing wrong with this cartoon is that it's so good it makes it even harder for DC to find a decent orginal screenplay. They're going to have to tread some of the same ground. But, if they do it this well, I'll be happy to visit Themyscira again - in glorious 3D please! Fighting, Amazons, DC, skimpy costumes, magic lassoo, invisible jet. Book my ticket!
What a Wonder!!By a customer , 04 Oct 2013Awesome, very well done and clearly aimed for the more mature audience. Unlike the now disney-fied Marvel animation world this keeps the bloody edge of DC nation. Also Nathan Fillion does a gre8 job voicing Steve Trevor, cant remember the last time an animated film had me laughing out loud and this one certainly did he has sooo many good 1 liners.
wonder womanBy KRAPO (1 review) , 30 Sep 2013This film is good for comic fans and they is some sense when people get they heads chopped of such as the god of war and his son.
