This was just another example of an american network (FOX) not realising how good a series they actually had on their hands. The series was put in a obscure timeslot which resulted in it being cancelled after just four episodes.
Ok ... Enough ranting and back to the topic of conversation.
The series is clever, sharp and 'laugh out loud' in the way it portrays the main '20 something' character, Jaye Tyler (played by Caroline Dhavernas). Jaye Tyler is sarcastic and apathetic at the world around her, but things start to get really complicated when plastic animals start talking to her.
This is a must see series which goes away from the norm with hilarious results.
Watch it now ... You won't be disappointed.
This has to be one of the best most original things on TV but oddly enough it's one of those series which never makes it to the second season. Sky one totally messed it up for the UK viewers by contantly changing the time slots and I believe Fox in the US did the same thing.
This is a real shame because it had a lot going for it. All the episodes are really funny and each has an excellent story line with a great twist at the end.
The characters all interact in a way you have to watch the next episode to find out whether the lesbian sister is discovered, the main character becomes romanticly involved or her 'intended' goes back to his wife.
Look out for some well known faces including Jewel Staite from Joss Weldon's Firefly and the movie Serenity.
