  • Unmoving and cliched

    Rated - 1.0 star

    [Highly rated reviewer]

Oliver Stone is not known for making subtle films but even by his standards this is bombastic and cliched. Some truly dreadful moments - especially in the flashback scenes and any scene featuring the marine where the script is toe curling. He evens resorts to visions of Jesus and the final scenes where Stone tries to make links between 9/11 and Iraq is unforgiveable. The only reason to see this film is for the terrific sound effects when the buildings collapse. If you want to see a moving film about the tragedy and heroism of that terrible day see Flight 93.

  • Sad and very moving movie that tells the true story

    Rated - 4.0 stars

Very sad and moving story and a true insight to the tragedy that happened that day. The 9/11 was something that will never ever be forgotten and neither will the people that helped and fought on that day to save lives. Very tragic that so many lives were lost. This film, was a credit to the story and making people understand just how devastating it was and still is today

  • Poor film and a wasted opportunity

    Rated - 1.5 stars
By Bobsview (549 reviews) from Gloucestershire , 09 Mar 2013
This is a poor film rushed out to capitalise on the interest in the disaster but youe will not learn anything about what really happened inside the towers. Nicholas Cage as a police officer trapped under WTC on 9-11. Cage is playing himeself as usual but does not even manage that very well. Awful cringe making . Only redeeming feature is the musical score / soundtrack.

This movie at times is very slow and I nearly fall asleep! If you looking for a movie which will give you more information about what happened on 9/11 then this movie isnt for you as its based around two police officers and what happens to them,it has very little information on what actually happened on that terrible day of 9/11

Very good and moving film. Took you back to 9/11 and the devastation on that day. I do believe even the hardest person will find themselves shedding a tear or two!
