Unmoving and clichedBy Tim from London , 10 Sep 2006
[Highly rated reviewer]Oliver Stone is not known for making subtle films but even by his standards this is bombastic and cliched. Some truly dreadful moments - especially in the flashback scenes and any scene featuring the marine where the script is toe curling. He evens resorts to visions of Jesus and the final scenes where Stone tries to make links between 9/11 and Iraq is unforgiveable. The only reason to see this film is for the terrific sound effects when the buildings collapse. If you want to see a moving film about the tragedy and heroism of that terrible day see Flight 93.

World Trade CenterBy Zero2tm (4 reviews) from Stoke-on-Trent , 24 Nov 2009
THIS REVIEW CONTAINS SPOILERS Show review anywayHideMore of a slow paced documentry style movie than a fast paced action movie. This much I expected and the movie concentrated on realism and closure on two main characters trapped in the collapse. The darkness, tight spaces, dirt and debris really gave you a feel for the people on the terrible day. I felt that there was that many scenes of the trapped characters in this low light environment, not moving either that when the resuce finally happened and they were free to breathe air again, see sky etc it really did get emotional and just makes you relive that terrible day over again. Very well made and thank goodness it didn't go a 'Hollywood' angle.
Worth a watchBy bradders7 (7 reviews) from Leeds , 18 Nov 2009A very hard hitting film, it was difficult to believe that it all happened and the World Trade center isn't there anymore. The tears flow so have tissues handy!
DIREBy a customer from Cornwall, UK , 20 Oct 2009Probably the worst example of Hollywood trying to cash in on a disaster that it has been my misfortune to endure. The story was non-existent (despite the obvious script that was already written!), the acting mediocre at best, and in all, so far removed from the facts, that if it were not for the subject matter, it would be laughable. AVOID AT ALL COSTS.
WTCBy a customer from Milton Keynes , 16 Oct 2009Fantastic.
Great for anyone who likes true storys and drama. Well acted.
disapointingBy mysticmax360 (2 reviews) from Peterborough , 08 Sep 2009In short, the film shou dof been a stiring story of human will power and comradery pulling two friends through the most difficult of situations, in reality a flat performance from Nicholas Cage meant that more tear jerking were the shots of the devastationg caused by the attacks as opposed to anything going on between the two primary characters.
a boring film filled with images of destruction, your better off watching a documentary about the attacks if you rent this film to see that, as the acting was bad and the story failed to fullfill its pottential.
