Unmoving and clichedBy Tim from London , 10 Sep 2006
[Highly rated reviewer]Oliver Stone is not known for making subtle films but even by his standards this is bombastic and cliched. Some truly dreadful moments - especially in the flashback scenes and any scene featuring the marine where the script is toe curling. He evens resorts to visions of Jesus and the final scenes where Stone tries to make links between 9/11 and Iraq is unforgiveable. The only reason to see this film is for the terrific sound effects when the buildings collapse. If you want to see a moving film about the tragedy and heroism of that terrible day see Flight 93.

DisappointingBy a customer from Stirling , 07 Sep 2009Very poor film. Only watched about the first hour before I switched it off, and I don't often do that with films.
9/11 was a terrible event in recent history, and as we know affected many many people.
This film was no more than a mediocre disaster movie. Nicholas Cage and co being trapped underground could have been any disaster movie to be honest, and I don't think went any way to capturing the horror of that day.
Yawn!By Blueflash (6 reviews) from Bristol , 07 Sep 2009Cliche city, I agree not the most dynamic of subjects, not many laughs available, but dreary doesn't describe this.
Whats the point of this film?
world trade centerBy arnold007 (3 reviews) from Thetford , 24 Aug 2009A little slow in places but overall found this film very good.
Was quite shocked at the scale of destruction on this awful day. Of course I watched it on the tv but this film really showed you everything.
I understand this film could be quite unnerving for some people and upsetting but I really think this film is worth watching anyway.
World Trade CentreBy movies (64 reviews) from Buckie , 24 Aug 2009Nicolas Cage my favourite actor, although he plays his part well and a film that gives historical events I felt was let down by not being able to see what was going on, the scences were to dark and so spoilt the film.
world trade centreBy jaffa1 (2 reviews) from Newtown , 19 Aug 2009a griping film with great actors ! feel that the director got everything correct. Almost felt like I was there. made me feel sick in places, but only because it was so well told and acted.
