trite cringefest

The film is about a bunch of dead people in some kind of limbo which is really just a road and a desert. One of them trying to find his girlfriend who committed suicide after his death- not much more to it than that. The characters drive around a desert smoking dope to seem hip and rebellious and so on, trying to find her.

The dialogue is so clicheed and trite that I wanted to kick the tv within 20 mins. More driving and smoking dope and thats about it. A complete waste of a good idea- a movie about limbo needs a big budget and some creativity. What sounds like an interesting metaphysical journey is just another detour through the land of Formulaica. Avoid unless you are suffering from insomnia.

Weird but good

I really enjoyed this film, I thought it was unusual and quirky and that the storyline was a brilliant idea! Some of the characters were just great and the fact that it was so weird just added to it's charm. There were a few flaws in the plot and the ending but all in all it was a really refreshing film to watch, unlike anything I've seen before.

This is a film that I heard about a long time ago and never got to see on the big screen. So when I found it here I was excited and hoping it would live up to my expectations and it did.

Story has a pace that is relaxed. This sounds silly but it leaves the viewer left with a warm comfortable feeling.

If I was to pitch this it to a friend it would be a donie darko at slower pace but without constantly making the viewer question what is happening to keep them interested.

This has to be one of the best films i have watched this year! I loved the whole concept of life beyond death. The 'rules' which applied to this other world were appropriate to the way these folks had died. It is just a tragic love story which takes loads of twists and turns. All actors were amazing and believeable. I would recommend anyone to watch this. It is, in a weird way, a beautiful film.
