Sterling performance as always from the fantsastic Mr Hardy as an intense, raw Heathcliffe. Previous adaptations of Wuthering Heights seem brittle compared to this tour de force.
A must for all period drama lovers.- Was this review helpful to you?

(19)Moody characters and beautiful scenery
By a customer , 11 Oct 2012Thoroughly enjoyed it. Initially put it on my list to enjoy a couple of hours of Tom Hardy but then was captivated by the story. The scenery was beautiful and all the actors played their parts well. There were some unanswered questions for me but for a 2 hour version it seemed a sympathetic adaptation. It inspired me to want to read the book so I have downloaded it (for free) on my kindle. May edit my review after reading the novel if I find there are any glaring errors!!- Was this review helpful to you?

Wuthering Heights
By Purdy (48 reviews) from Bury St. Edmunds , 14 Jul 2012This version is far superior to the 2011 film. Quite gripping in parts and good acting from the main leads. A long film of 3 hours, although because we were drawn into the story line so successfully, it did not seem to be so long. Well recommended.- Was this review helpful to you?

Good TV drama
By Jimcam (1 review) , 11 Apr 2012Good solid performances all round. Tom Hardy is the stand out though. Production a bit ITV drama, but then it is, so no- Was this review helpful to you?

Beautifully executed classic drama.
By a customer , 07 Feb 2012When I ordered this film I hadn't realised it was two 90-minute episodes of the ITV drama, which does make it easier to watch; three hours at a go is a long time.
I didn't know the story of Wuthering Heights - only the Kate Bush song - so was interested to see how this 'classic' story unfolded.
The acting was excellent and the scenery wonderful; it's just a pity the story is so sad!
But if you like classic period drama, this is excellent.- Was this review helpful to you?

Beautiful agony
By a customer , 29 Jan 2012Astonishing.. I am both heartbroken and inspired. This is the best adaption of a book I have ever watched. Yep it's by ITV which doesn't bode well but it's just wonderful. As ever, I am love with Heathcliffe and Tom Hardy is the man at his most brooding. My tears didn't slide gently, I howled and moaned. Amazing..- Was this review helpful to you?
