[Highly rated reviewer]Ok best explain that i hated all the X-Men films. Yeah the first two were good films but as Xmen films they were terrible.
Why take the name of something that you have no intention of being faithful to? Why not make a superman film with Superman in it for 10 minutes then follow batman taking a holiday on Mars fighting Darth Vader. (ok a bit OTT)
But seriously these films have very little to do with the true Xmen. Then have the stupidity to ruin what characters they do involve.
This thrid film is the worst of them all, It destroys everything that was wrongly built up in the first two films then rushes through the film putting one set piece together with another! If you like Xmen AVOID THIS LIKE THE PLAGUE!!!!!

I had not expected this to be quite so dire!By tunnelweb (188 reviews) from Hamilton , 02 May 2009Wow. I had heard this film was bad, but hadn't truly expected it to be quite so dire! Despite loving X-Men comics and cartoons growing up, I never connected well with the movies. However, the first two were perfectly enjoyable. This third was a travesty! There's only a very weak plot, and no characters are given any development time, while Powell's score is formulaic. The result - you really don't care about a single character, and the whole affair feels 2D. The great action and dramatic scenes only fall flat - and are quite anticimatice in reality. It's really not worth watching.
X menBy NellP (6 reviews) from Cornwall , 26 Mar 2009If you like the Xmen you'll love this one. Good escapisim!
Good action filmBy nothing (42 reviews) from Tunbridge Wells , 23 Mar 2009Very good action film especially if you have surround sound.
Had Potential...ButBy OzoneRae (3 reviews) from Luton , 18 Feb 2009i have to agree with those reviewers before me who have wrote stating disappointment at this movie. It should have been Excellent. What happened. After Xmen 2 and the great story plot, character developements and Action i was expecting SSSOOO much more from this follow up. But it wasnt to be. What went on with cyclops, xaivier, mystic, rouge..What was the point of Angel.? What did he even Do ? Why was Collosus wasted here.?
The writers got this one wrong in my humble opinion. i dont want to add much more as those before me have really summed it up already. just wanted to say i was...disappointed . however it has moments of potential so get it if you be curious just dont expect a follow up worthy of its predecessor !!!
Loved it!!By a customer from Manchester , 15 Feb 2009Just like the first and second X-men Movies, it was simply outstanding, it is my my favourite comic to film adaptation and everything's just right about this movie. I could watch it over and over again and never get bored; rent it! Better yet, buy it - easily found for under £5 nowadays!
