Romantic drama about a young dancer who travels from her native Puerto Rico to the Big Apple in search of a new life after the death of her crippled father, once a great ballet star in New York City. Very sentimental.

THIS REVIEW CONTAINS SPOILERS Show review anywayHide

This film was really good. The lead actress is stunning, all she wants to do is dance and believe me she can dance. It reminded me of show girls rather than Save the Last Dance.

Her dad kills himself, and she catches her bofyfriend makeing out with her drunken mother, She has enough and she goes to persue a career at the help of a friend who gives a contact of someone who will gove her somewhere to stay, She goes with hardly any money and a small bit of loose change.

When she gets there, there is no one there to greet her. A guy comes telling her to go . She persuades him to let her stay and they begin a friendship. He takes care of her like a father.

She then finally gets an audition , but as a erotic dancer. At first she walked out couldn't do it. Then she went back and it went from there.

A lonley guy became obssesed with her, and wanted to take care of her, he goes to the strip club just to watch her dance pnly and falls in love. She also falls for him too. The film would have had much better ratings if you saw more of a story with the two characters. The ending was very dissapointed. I am suprised that it hasn't done better in the ratings also as the main star is stunning and really sexy.

    Watchable - not too bad
