    [Highly rated reviewer]

Sounds like a dire straits/foreigner mish mash in places, sound poor even by 1980s standards, saved by a few moments of good stuff by the members of yes, the rest is a Trevor Rabin raucous guitar rant.

I have always loved Yes and their material. They are true God's of the Prog Rock genre, however.....this DVD is so poorly produced and put together I am surprised that it ever got to see the light of day. The graphic effects are truly cringe making. The set list for this gig wan't that inspring either...only a couple I would say are worth listening too. Clearly Yes were going through a bit of a crisis at the time as is born out by the ridiculous 80's hair cuts and costumes.......roll back to the seventies please....come back Rick and Steve!

If you take my advice you would be better to listen to a CD rather than sitting through this garbage.

This is a not prime yes dvd. Tony Kaye is not Wakeman and Trevor Rabin is not Howe!! The music looks more like VanHalen than Yes, apart for starship troopers and others. Someone who doesn't know Yes sees this dvd will think this is normal yes (wich is not). The truth is no one can play guitar like Virtuoso Howe or Keys like Wakeman. In consider this one of the worst of yes.If you are a fan DON'T WATCH IT!!!!

Some reasonably good stuff here but this is mostly not classic Yes (of course I didn't expect it to be - its 9012). The 'film' elements of the concert are effective to start with and would have been fine as book ends, however they intrude enormously into the viewing of the playing. Even when played in the 'directors cut' version without all of the film elements we see way too much of everything but the actual instrument playing and when we do get a glimpse of the Squire and Rabin fingerwork it is almost immediately interrupted by a cut to something else. The interviews are interesting but again the editing is annoying. I found the documentary was just plain unwatchable (more self indulgent editing and camera tricks).

Very dated looking with silly pop video effects and the sound quality is quite lacking. Rabin's guitar parts are hard to discern. Money for nothing. There are better versions of these songs available. As a fan's DVD, ie to complete the collection, it's fine.
