A good base for yoga practice

This is a good yoga session for anyone wanting a toning workout which raises the heart rate slightly. If you are looking for an aerobic level workout from yoga you need to be looking at Ashtanga instead, but this workout does challenge you to stay in position a little longer than a relaxation focused yoga session and works out the legs using a well thought out sequence of standing poses, particularly warrior poses.

By far the best feature of this and other Gaiam yoga offerings is the ability to choose your level of flexibility from a menu and then see the session from the camera angle that shows a demonstrator doing poses in a fully or partially modified form. This means that it is a session for all levels. The excellent guidance on what your legs should be doing also helps to keep the viewer focused on correct form without ruining the session with excessive talking.

    Good enough practice

Reasonably hard work, mostly focussed on standing postures. There is not much guidance on how to work towards postures so I wouldn't recommend it unless you have some practice under your belt already.
