Still young, still dangerous..

Jordan Chan is once again the guiding light in this gangster sequel which goes against tradition by becoming a far more rounded picture than the film that proceeded it.
Young and Dangerous 2 is a superb film which houses everything you would come to expect from a cult classic and a hugely popular movie in its home country.
It's got great performances, a tight script, murder, bloodshed and action.
If Young and Dangerous was the starter then part two is certainly the main course. Lap it up, consume, enjoy.- Was this review helpful to you?

(7)Young and Dangerous 2
By a customer from Glasgow , 11 Dec 2008I grew up with watching Hong Kong movies - that's where I learned Cantonese from in fact. With parents obsessed with 'retaining cultural heritage' I was surprised they let me watch Young and Dangerous.
The sequel is a disappointment. The plot seems to have gone awry. Though the redeeming quality is the cult following the series garnered with the first movie. Persevere because the third one is much better.
I'm making my way through the rest of the series and can only hope number 2 was a blooper. I've heard it also generated a spin-off tv series.....though my relatives in HK consider me backward for being so behind with the HK movie scene.- Was this review helpful to you?

Part Two.
By drunkenmaster (479 reviews) from Merthyr Tydfil, , 08 Sep 2006I enjoyed this more than the first film. There is some nice character development, especially from Jordan Chan as Chicken. We get to see more of the thoughtful side of the young triads as an opening comes for an area leader. Anthony Wong plays his part as the nose picking Tai Fei just that little bit over the top. Chingmy Yau deserves a mention too as the scheming triad moll prepared to do anything to get what she wants.- Was this review helpful to you?
