With Friends Like These...
By a customer from Plymouth, England , 24 Feb 2006[Highly rated reviewer]
Excellent scripting and terrific performances are the meat here. With only six characters, Neil LaBute manages to run through a whole range of funny, perverse, embarrassing, painful and occasionally jaw-dropping moments, whilst touching in on a few home truths. Each actor has some stand out moments, but the palm really should go to Jason Patric for his essentially hideous, yet somehow almost likeable uber-male. Not one for the squeamish when it comes to morality, but for those who enjoy a little deviousness in their lives, highly, highly recommended.- Was this review helpful to you?

(10)So so drama
By a customer from London , 30 Mar 2009A film about 30 something New Yorkers, and their trials and tribulations with sex/love and marriage. At times it felt like a filmed stage play due to whole scenes being filmed in one static shot with very wordy exchanges.
You get to see a very young, un-hollywood Ben stiller, pre teeth fix. And a rather portly Aaron Eckhert. Jason Patrick is brilliant as the repulsive womaniser mind you.
Worth a punt if you've got a spare hour or two, but it wont blow you away.- Was this review helpful to you?

Average
By a customer from Ripley, Surrey , 16 Jan 2006As a fan of Stiller, I found him highly annoying in this. The Catherine Keener story thread is much more amusing and engaging. Jason Patric is also very good, the other fall flat. Worth a watch but by no means a must see or must buy- Was this review helpful to you?

Don't bother!
By a customer from Poole, Dorset , 22 Nov 2005I really wish I'd read the other reviews before I rented this film as it was awful. I'm usually a fan of Jason Patric but his character in this really put me off! In fact I switched off after 40 minutes or so.- Was this review helpful to you?
