A Film to Fall in Love WithBy AQuietHero (13 reviews) from Brighton , 13 Nov 2012

[Highly rated reviewer]There's clearly a pattern of people watching the first twenty minutes and turning this off. What a waste! I'm writing this review largely as a response to that: my girlfriend and I totally fell in love with Your Sister's Sister, and have been waiting for the DVD since seeing it at the cinema.
Ok, so it's not a film for everyone. It's a bit of a slow burner with an admittedly awkward first scene. But it soon warms up into a humble classic. Don't expect a laugh-a-minute gutbuster; this is a classy, quiet pleasure and a very human drama.
It's a film about real life and normal people (with a slightly weird plot twist towards the end). It's got bucketloads of charm, three strong characters, and a gorgeous soundtrack. We also like Dan in Real Life, The Dish, and Episodes, and this draws favourable comparisions to all three.

You care about the charactersBy a customer , 01 Dec 2012This is a great film. Beautifully nuanced with extremely believable characters thanks to 3 very strong performances. Yes I do have a bit of a soft spot for Emily Blunt but that is not a prerequisite for enjoying this film. In fact Emily is often in films where she stands out in an otherwise mediocre set up - what makes this good is here she is supported by a cast of equals. Not suitable for anyone who doesn't have the patience to let a film breathe, who requires hi octane escapism or who is dead inside.
very funnyBy a customer , 28 Nov 2012I cant believe most reviews are negative, I enjoyed the fact there was improvisation throughout for me this made the film more appealing and I would definitely call it a comedy. It did trail of a little towards the end and become more sentimental but after all it was a romance. The acting skills by all three actors were extremely good.
in general disappointingBy Armi (8 reviews) , 26 Nov 2012the story starts okish but it doesn't deliver at the end. I was hoping for some sort of better ending?! generally found it disappointing.
Simple tale of friendship and loveBy AliFilmBuff (4 reviews) from Bushey , 19 Nov 2012Thoroughly enjoyed watching this very believable story, the characters and story line are acted out in a very natural and understated way. Simple and slow paced, well shot and written. If you like films where there's not much action but it's all about the people in it then I recommend this one.
It's about a tangled relationshipBy Heavybreather (12 reviews) from East Midlands , 19 Nov 2012This film is all about twisted, tangled relationships and if that's your cup of tea, then this film is for you. There are no car chases, no super heroes, no guns, no villains and no police. It's just three people and the unusual relationship that develops between them.
I have seen better movies but I can think of a lot worse ways to spend a couple of hours!
