    GREAT FILM!!

Brilliant Zatoichi film with the added bonus of good filming!

The quality is mondern day unlike the other Zatoichi films, which are proper old school!

So if you want a great sword flick with plenty of blood and loads of gore!!

    WATCH THIS!!!

    As good as the remake

This film is great and perfect for a more realistic and believe remake (simply titled - Zatoichi(2003)). The natural lighting in the film does however set it apart from a lot of martial arts film and improves in my opinion the feel of the characters and plot. The violence is the let down as it is just OTT 80's 'everyone is a walking fountain of blood' effects . Worth the rent if not perhaps the purchase.
