Laugh out loud hilarious
An awful lot of shots of naked women. More specifically one naked woman. A shallow exploration of OCD. Predictable. A wasted opportunity for a talented comedian. Some nice set pieces. Incoherent, unsatisfying and fragmented. Like this review.
Enjoyable enough movie, with a likeable Lead character, although I did however find the ending a little rushed & muddled.
The Bruce Robenitz character, played by Andy Nyman, I just wanted to punch his lights out he was so annoying & irritating!
.. as for Veronika Zemanova - WOW, a body to DIE for !!
I'll be honest, I only rented this film because Amanda Mealing (of Connie of Holby City fame) featured in the cast but actually, although her input was minimal I really rather enjoyed it. A ) because she's brilliant and rarely does one get to see Connie Beauchamp playing Scaletrix and B ) because the film is quite funny... silly but funny. I was particularly taken with 'the fingers' - like Ant and Dec but in digit form - marvellous!

A film mainly comprising of naked women, which alone is a good thing but not what you want when you settle down with a nice bottle of plonk, feeling tired after work and watching with the missus ! Some good images though !!!!!!
Very slow movie. Ralph Little was the only reason I kept watching - just hoping the movie would pick up. It was very depressing and might have been funnier if the writers had only exploited the OCD angle a bit more. I think Ed would have been funnier but this material let him down.
Unfortunately someone told the filmmaker that neurosis is always fascinating - it isn't. However, some of the acting is quite nicely done.
Completely useless attempt at entertainment. Very cliche, very boring, quite stupid. I was not impressed at all. I can't even remember why I rented it. Ed Byrne is funny though, but much funnier as the comedian that he is. Here he's a bit stupid. Everything about this film is stupid. I wouldnt recommend it.
As soon as I read the premise of this movie, I knew I had to see it, as I have long suffered from the same problem: an obsession with the beauty of Veronika Zemanova (which, incidentally, I'm nigh-on certain is pronounced ZEM-anova and not ZEE-manova as Ed Byrne says in this movie). However, Veronika's voluptuous shadow does not cast itself too heavily over this movie; this is more a glimpse into the life of a mildly obsessive guy after the break-up of a relationship, kind of like 'High Fidelity' with internet porn instead of music.
Ed Byrne does a good job; he's a likeable leading man. Which is useful, as otherwise the character is very hard to feel any sympathy for; he's a well-paid writer who seems to make a comfortable living doing almost nothing, and meets nothing but professional success round every corner. A stronger script and greater emotional content might have improved things immensely, as this does have 'first-time filmmaking' written all over it; few locations, and some really amateurish supporting performances (tip: if you're going to have American characters, find people who can do American accents!) But even so, Zemanovaload is a passable evening's entertainment, with just enough true-isms and decent laughs to keep you interested, for 90 mins at least. But if all you want is to see Veronika, save your pennies, do a websearch; you'll find way saucier stuff than you see here...
Slow moving and looses the plot half way through. Some funny bits but could have been more funny. Some pointless scenes and alot just to get to the point. Watchable but only as a hangover sunday morning film not a night of entertainment. Pity they couldnt have done more with Ed Bryne as he is quite funny.
Was watchable and entertaining, funny in bits. But to be honest a bit nondescript and forgettable.
