Zombie Flesh Eaters 2
A supposed sequel to Lucio Fulci's legendary ZOMBIE (aka ZOMBI 2 or ZOMBIE FLESH EATERS), there is actually no relation between ZOMBIE FLESH EATERS 2 and its alleged predecessor. Though Fulci is given full directorial credit, he dropped out of the project fairly early and was replaced by Bruno Mattei, who previously made the outrageous HELL OF THE LIVING DEAD. Here, a trio of soldiers on leave are soaking up the rays on an idyllic island when a nearby scientific team tests a serum designed to bring the dead back to life. Of course, the serum turns these corpses into flesh-eating zombies with a penchant for bad dialogue, feeding on buxom women, and behaving rather stupidly. So mind-bendingly awful that it's downright hilarious, ZOMBIE FLESH EATERS 2 is incredibly entertaining.

A movie about zombies by zombies?
Beware! Zombie Flesh Eaters 2 is the ultimate gruelling challenge! I don't mean that it's intense or scary, just that this big brown smear of a film is so dire that it's a dare of "Jackass" proportions to sit all the way through it.
Let's get the film's bad points out of the way first. Bad special effects, limp direction, imbecilic script, bad performances, nonsensical plot, direct steals from far superior horror films and confused sets. Good points? Zombies and gore. If you enjoy a good bit of horror cheese, bear in mind that this is mature stilton that's gone past it's sell by date. It's hard to imagine how this script ever got used. Was it nepotism, cocaine, insomnia, mental deficiency or a combination of all of them?
Lucio Fulci was the original director for this film but he left soon after filming began (smart move). This film makes "Demons 2" look like "Citizen Kane". However, it is so bad that it does become kind of enjoyable, albeit in a strange masochistic way.
If you fancy some stupid, gory, obscure fun then look no further than this cringe-tastic movie. -
