Gorgeous and Dangerous
By a customer from manchester , 07 Jan 2011[Highly rated reviewer]
It's an honest, beautiful and romantic film, very strange to see in a British low budget film. The language is very strong and real, the world poetic, the passion and sex very real. The two leads, who are some sort of slacker/hipster outsiders are at times funny, innocent, infuriating and philosophical. It's sexy and erotic, but also gritty and real. I can't believe it's a UK set film, it's cinematic!- Was this review helpful to you?

(9)Worth the effort
By Barryww (5 reviews) , 10 Jan 2012Yes this film is graphic but not in a grubby way. I found it hard to empathise with the main character, Manchester, who just came over to me as irritatingly thick and that did spoil the enjoyment of the film for me. However, it was worth persevering with the 90 odd minutes as there were genuinely tender and erotic moments between the couple which save the film from being just a low budget would be 'Arty' film.- Was this review helpful to you?

Nice soundtrack ....
By Sammc (38 reviews) from Preston , 27 Oct 2011...i enjoyed the music. Now, as to the film - it had aspirations to be something it could never be, and thus became pretentious as we entered the so-called art world that was so impressed by Manchester's photographs. Even the choice of names for the main characters [Manchester and Noon] was pretentious, with no great, profound message at the end.
There were hints of better films that have come out of Scandinavia but this one failed to find the same ground and lift off, as it moved steadily forward to the next shallow moment of pretentious 'message' and ultimately tedium.
OK ... the photographs were good too.- Was this review helpful to you?

maybe i'm wrong but i don't care
By a customer , 20 May 2011Beautiful, heartbreaking and brim-full of love. I loved this film. The stillness and poetry of some of the scenes made my heart swell. I don't want to sound too gushy (maybe i am- i don't care), but i think its lyricism and pottering almost aimless feel, coupled with a melting soundtrack filled me with an impossible longing. Of course, its cringe-making to watch (voyeuristically) a young good-looking couple get up to all sorts. But there was a raw truth in it and it holds up a mirror to us. We've all been there, sex and love are universal and probably the one substantial reason for finding some sort of meaning in life. Maybe i'm wrong, and just a little too drunk, but i don't care.- Was this review helpful to you?
