little Princess Ballet - The London Children's Ballet

The London Children's Ballet's production of A Little Princess is an ideal way to introduce children of all ages to ballet. Tha ballet, 80 minutes of music in just two acts, is danced by the LCB's talented company of 52 young dancers aged 9 - 14. This recording has simple captions separating scenes, so the plot is easily understood by even the youngest viewers. LCB ballets have sold out in London's West End year after year impressing the critics, family audiences and the ballet world alike. A Little Princess is the story of Sara, a sensible, kind and very wealthy little girl who is left in boarding school by her widowed father. The Headstress, Miss Minchin, loves money more than her girls, so when Sara's father dies leaving her penniless, Sara is thrown into the attic and treated like the school slave. However, her strong spirit carries her through to a surprise ending .... oh dear, Miss Minchin has made a terrible mistake.
