  • Very clever independent film

    [Highly rated reviewer]

This very clever independent film stars only three people, including Uma Thurman and her (soon to be ex) husband Ethan Hawke. It is all shot in a motel room with an on suite bathroom. All three are friends from High School with issues to resolve. I gave it 8/10.

  • Whose truth?

    Rated - 4.0 stars

Excellent twists and turns within the plot. The question of whose memory of the past was the real one was very interesting. Felt as if I was watching a play or there in the seedy hotel with them all. Well worth watching.

  • ...brilliantly clever

Brilliantly simple yet brilliantly clever. A cast of three. Very convincingly acted. Very similar to some of Hitchcocks camera work. Slow start but became really quite captivating.

  • Not for me!!

Maybe I just wasn't in the mood for this when I went to watch it, but after 21mins I had put another film on!! The concept didn't hold my attention and I found the acting to be of average at best. Didn't see uma so maybe she lifts it a bit, something was needed! I guess this movie just isn't my taste.

  • Unexpected hilarity

    Rated - 4.0 stars
    By a customer from London , 30 Jul 2010
Having read about this film and seen others by the same director, I had expected something either thought-provoking or tediously pretentious. Much to my surprise, I spent most of the film helpless with laughter. Hiding behind the various low-budget indie conceits is a beautifully delivered black comedy of deeply flawed people living way beyond their moral and intellectual means. I found both the script and the performances very witty, and recommend this film to anyone who is amused by seeing self-righteous people get tripped up by their own smugness.
