Bullock Brilliance

Absolutely fabulous film with great work by Sandra Bullock as a former prom queen returning to rebuild her life in her home town. Moving and realistic, the story is full and deeply moving (and I'm a guy!!) and takes its own time to get where it wants to go. Harry Connick JR and Gena Rowlands provide solid support but this is Bullock's show all the way. And she's never looked lovelier.- Was this review helpful to you?

Slow paced, dull plot you decide

Sandra Bullock is a good actress and she is fine but the plot is just not there its too slow paced it quickly became boring....What saved this film for me was the actress who plays Bullocks daughter 'Bernice' in the film, she is fantastic.- Was this review helpful to you?

Sandra strikes again!
By a customer , 13 Jun 2011Much as I like SB this was a turkey. Someone should have advised her that stories like this make bad films. SB is perfect in humorous, light romantic fiction with a happy ending - a sort of latter-day Ginger Rogers or Audry Hepburn but she should leave the drama to those who can handle it.- Was this review helpful to you?

Better than glueing your eyes shut- just
