  • Classic Teen Movie

    [Highly rated reviewer]

This is one of the all time classic teen movies. Kelly LeBrock was every teenagers (infact every mans) dream woman and the nerds in the film managed to create her to the envy of all of their friends.

The gags come fast and are hilarious.

If you want a light hearted film with lots of laughs then this is the film for you.

Not many films feature a teenager with a bra on his head looking serious.

an ok film, that has some good bits for the dudes that would be Kelly Le Brock, it does have a unique twist on the I'm a looser at school thing.

not a bad film, but not a brilliant one either

    I. Love. This. Film! Its totally amazing. My boyfriend harped on about it for so long so I finally decided to rent it to watch with him. One of the funniest films Ive seen, and how young does Robert Downey Jnr look?!

Basically its one of those films that you need to not take seriously and just enjoy it. Perfect to watch when you just want a few laughs on a night in

  • One of John Hughes least successful films

Like bad hair cuts, heavy metal and dodgy computer graphics, Weird Science should stay in the 1980s. The whole film feels dated, from the pub scene where Anthony Michael Hall has a few too many beers and pretends he’s some sort of black gangster, to the crude and annoying dialogue the characters continually spout out. It’s worth taking a look just for Bill Paxton’s performance as the evil brother on leave from the military, but the whole film lacks the depth, compassion and warmth I usually associate with John Hughes films.

  • Totally Outrageous Romp

If only such things were possible... Practically everything in this movie is outrageous to the point of being surreal. That's what I like most about it. The bar scene, the older brother, the biker gang, it's all there!

This film could possibly be described as 'so bad it's good', but if so, it's one of the better ones, not too far below 'Hercules in New York'.
