Iam not a fan of skate games, But this is a game you want to rent or buy , the game play is so much more smoother.

Good game with plenty too do, however people new to the series might struggle with the controls. A few annoying bugs are still apparent in the game and some of the later challenges seem abit too difficult and time consuming. Worth a rent but as for buying i'd advise only if your a big fan of the first game or a fan of the genre.

i'll admit i don't know too much about skateboarding, But growing up playing the Tony Hawks series showed that these types of games can be really fun, Skate 2 however is just pure frustration in disc form. I never really understood what was happening be it what they wanted me to do or what was currently going on in the story. The challenges are, put simply, a pain in the backside. you are given a random collection of words that apparently is a trick. you then spend ten minutes trying to find the trick in the start menu to try to learn what to do, only to find that this particular trick (like all the others in this game) has the same stick control as about five other tricks. You will try to do one trick many times to infact do another, there are countless tricks and one analogue stick.... i only got a C in GCSE maths but i can figure out that thats not going to work. everything about this game seemed to annoy me, so unless you are really into skating, avoid this game. and don't imagine its like tony hawks, this is too realistic, you fall of riding over an ant.

This game is hard and takes some time to get used to the controls but it all pays off, i always thought the old tony hawks games were too easy so this is a step up from them seeeing as every trick needs skill and timing. Skateboarding is hard so the games shouldn't be any different.

Good locations, not bad dialouge and story, and wicked tricks 9/10

Is an ok game, but would prefer it if there was an easier option for controls, like tony hawk. Maybe there is, but haven't checked yet. However great graphics and sun to crash :P
