The name 'Legends' suggests the best of the Bond games. Somehow this is the worst game of all, and there has already been a few duff ones.

What is it about James Bond games for consoles? Ever since the brilliant Goldeneye, which should have been a bench mark, have they been so poor? This offering is no different. As a COD and Medal of Honour, and james bond fan,i was really looking forward to this.Disappointed is not the word.Basically, its like a poor COD game for 5 year olds.Graphics - so-so (what i cant understand, is all ther villains are represented exactly, apart from Blofield, who looks nothing like Telly Savalas, and jinx, who definetly doesnt look like Hallie Berry).Bond's voice sounds more like Timothy Dalton than Craigs, and the game play is mediocre (the hand to hand fighting is laughable),and its just such a repetative, boring game.I rented this despite the poor reviews,as i never take any notice,i prefer to make my own mind up,but here, they were right.

  • No subtitles

This game has no subtitles, as someone who has trouble hearing spoken words I need to look at someone's mouth when they speak or use subtitles. The game-play is boring and pointless; No challenge, no innovation, no fun and the game excludes the deaf, you can't lip-read animated characters.

Yes, it does feel like a game that would be the next installment of the COD series, but that doesn't make it a bad game. There is genuine fun to be had in this 1st person shooter that could have done with more time in development. Firstly, the pros about the game and there are many. A major plus point is the amount of content you are getting. Literally there is tons to do, the campaign, challenges and multiplayer make up a potentially lengthy experience. Also, the character models look great! From Jaws to Goldfinger, this is the games major strong point. Furthermore, locations look like what they did in the movies, so there is plenty of nostalgia to be had. More so, the gameplay serves for some fun, despite being perhaps over the top for Bond. Although, there is a feeling amongst many who have played the title that Bond should be moving silent all over the place, well in the movies most of the time his out in the open, in heavy action. Therefore, enjoy it for the fun 1st person action there is at offer, and don't worry there is stealth elements to the game, however limited it can be. At least the XP system add another layer of depth allowing you to upgrade weapons, gadgets and buy boosters for Bond. Plus, the driving sections are a great way of mixing up the 1st person action. Not to forget the guns look awesome, in particular the Golden gun and Laser from Moonraker. Okay, the reason you probably looking at a review is because of all the negative things you have heard about the game, so here they are! The voice acting, okay Dench is in as M and Richard Kiel as Jaws but apart from that all the other characters have 'likenesses'. This is a con as it takes you out of those great moments in bond with voice acting that don't quite live up to the greatness that the actors portrayed in the movies. Also, Eurocom hasn't quite got the Bond atmosphere set, with some basic errors that will leave you annoyed, such as when Galore asks Bond for his name and he just replies 'James Bond', we all know its 'Bond,James Bond'. In addition, the AI are a thick as anything, they will stare at walls walk into you gunfire and generally act nonsensically. There are a few niggles here and there additionally but nothing too off putting. Oh yeah, the graphics and meh. They get the job done but just like COD games are aging with grubby textures and not overly pleasing to look at. Imagine Bond on something like the crytek engine! Also, the guns sound okay, some of them don't sound quite right, especially the shotguns. Overall, there is fun to be had with hours of gameplay too. The characters look great and the 5 missions from Goldfinger to Skyfall are great choices of movies that EuroCom has picked. However, poor AI, below par voice acting and various just not Bond, cool moments stop this from putting Bond back on the path of video game greatness, just like the PS2 days.....
