  • Not bad, but frustratingly repetitive.

Not too bad, but as repetitive as hell after about 1/3 of the way through. The weapon customisation was fun, but fighting wave after wave of the same axe zombies every second room made it feel like a massive grind. It's got some cool stuff but you'd better really like it or it'll get annoying fast. If you want a Dead Space title, the original is still top, but this ones better than Dead Space 2 at least.

An excellent game in my opinion. The weapon mechanic is a nice quirk to the game though a little customization would've been nice. The storyline progresses from the other two games nicely, giving a good degree of intensity in the gameplay aswell. I would've given this 5 stars if it had more focus on the horror element but it's still a must play game.

its dead space 1 and 2 rolled into 3, basically its a follow on from the story and you play Gabriel Isaac, as you did in the previous dead space games an if enjoyed them, then this is more of the same a few added weapons and more of the same aliens. this game comes on 2 discs and some of the location graphics are stunning, it can get fast paced and the fear factor is there as its still as atmospheric as previous versions.

I was a massive fan of the first 2 games completing them on all difficulties, because they were fun to play multiple times, not this one. .I was so looking forwards to it but once I started playing I found myself bored, couldn't believe this was what they produced. First off its not scary any more. . .your not feared of going round corners are going through new doors its all changed . To be honest your more worried about finding parts to build a better gun, in my opinion it's a system that is not wanted or needed just a time wasting element added for play time. Plus what is with the romantic nonsense, by the end I hated isaac and his really really annoying x . Leave the romantic bull to poems and love shows not a horror game .. all and all I found it a massive let down as a hard core dead space fan and pains me to say this game is boren.

The game overall is pretty well put together and it still carries on the important aspect on the dead space games. It has got the atmosphere and vibe down to-a-tea and in some ways improves on it. Combat takes some getting use to as well as the modifications to the bench. But on the whole nicely put together and will not disappoint ...Warning. about the talk about the ending but not the actual story just the experience of it NO SPOILER... that is until you get to the final part of the game. It is an EA game so prepare for a rushed ending it like Mass effect makes you think they just got lazy. If you play the final boss in Dead Space 2 you will think this one just does not match the fear factor or challenge. But that it just the ending and the rest of the game is definitely worth playing. If EA did not rush would have been an easy 5.
