10/10 game.....on the 360 at least
By a customer from Telford , 26 Jun 2008[Highly rated reviewer]
This game spent years in the workshop since alone in the dark 3. the gameplays amazing if you bump into a table it jolts forward along with all the items on it. killing enemies doesnt involve bullets and beatings it simply involves using your head like attaching a blood bag onto an enemie to distract all the others while you pour petrol all over them and...well you get the idea. the graphics are no doubt next, next gen graphics and the lighting shows up any other.
HOWEVER! on the wii none of the above is possible! the graphics suck the gamplays worse (read the other reviews for the rest of the bad points) THE REASON FOR THIS IS this game was made for the 360 and then converted to the wii at the last minute
DO NOT BUY (OR RENT) THIS GAME! INSTEAD BUY OR RENT IT FOR THE 360!(maybe PS3, but i havnt seen the PS3 version)

Hilariously Terrible Surprise
By a customer from Teignmouth , 10 Dec 2009I actually bought this game rather than rent it because i had seen the trailers on the xbox 360 and thought it looked worth a try. I had traded it in the next day (would have the same day if it wasnt past shop closing time!) it was that bad. Their attempt to cross it over to the wii was hilariously and tediously awful. Too many clitches to count, most of which happened completely unexpectedly. Terrible voice acting and script (never thought it would annoy me but this was unbearable). Cursing after unnecessary cursing made the game feel like a poorly shot movie trying to pass off being a hollywood extraverganza. The option to create your own tools had almost completely gone, you can stand next to most of the enemies without them even realising your there, continuous delays in the cutscenes and the controls... THE CONTROLS!!! what part of 'control' didnt they get when making this game?! Opening your inventory with the remotes is as easy as walking on your elbows.
All in all, i have never played such a dreadful game. However, if you are going to aqquire this game, i'd get
A: the special edition purely for the artwork
B: any edition to learn how not to make a game- Was this review helpful to you?

its a rental
By mookstar (199 reviews) from Ipswich , 01 Mar 2009I mean its a rental because it is realy worth renting out. its very clever and you will find yourself puzzeled by the many parts. but if you get stuck you can skip right throughm which means you can basically tackle the end before you begin.
i'm a bit hardcore so tried to go through the game stage by stage. i got pretty far, but then found myself googling the next bit because it was a rental.
i would by this game to test myself on these complex puzzels, but now i've rented it i won't.
crap tho because i'll i had to do is fast forwards when i got stuck! weird!

Alone i n the dark
By Firecox (1 review) from Bedford , 13 Feb 2009This is the most tedious thing I have ever seen. After 40 minutes I was ready to throw the disc out of the window. I don't know what it's like on other platforms but on the Wii AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!- Was this review helpful to you?
