Sneak Peek..By Scenick (1 review) from London , 04 Nov 2010
[Highly rated reviewer]Okay, so i've had a little play through with the demo.
I've been waiting for a helicopter sim/game for a while now. Every time i play Bad Company 2 i'm always wishing there was just a heli to heli mode where i could hone my skills, but it seems that's not happening..
If you like the simplicity of the control structure in BFBC2 then you will need some getting used to here. The demo comes in either a training mode control structure or the slightly more bonkers realistic mode. It is possible to get used to it and start to churn out some pretty wicked manoeuvres but i still feel that it's lacking some bumper / trigger rotation controls, like we have grown accustomed to in our flight sims..
Towards the end of the demo, i did start enjoying the speed capable in my Apache and started pushing the limits against the gravity and my team mates.. and ended up killing them when i crashed attempting a loop.. But that's besides the point..
Point being, the games on my rental list.. And i'm pretty excited for some more in depth loop training.
*Note: All of this is based on enticement purposes and is pulled straight from the demo. But to be honest, there isn't a long time for anything i've said to be changed before release.. So consider this an accurate taste of awesome..

Painfully unresponsive controls.By Wiu (2 reviews) from Horsham , 29 Sep 2012Terrible. I honestly think flying a real helicopter would be easier than trying to master the controls of this 'game'. After much trying (and gamer rage) I just couldn't get to grips with the painfully unresponsive controls making this the first Xbox 360 game I've not completed (and I've played a lot). I just found it totally unplayable.
Rent at your own risk. You've been warned!
Worth a rent, but requires lots of patience to enjoyBy a customer , 11 Mar 2012Haven't decided on this game. Parts of it are really fun, but it is often very frustrating. The controls are a bit odd, and are a bit clunky when playing against the enemy. I really wanted to like the game (i used to love the strike series on snes) and thought it'd be an update of that but it never really took off (pardon the pun) I really liked the developers other major game, Il-2 Sturmovik, but sadly the game doesn't port over in the same way. If they could make a game as good as Il-2 but with modern helicopters, that'd be awesome.
The graphics are nice in parts with all the FLIR and that, but the game seems unfinished. It'd be good to have a series again like the Strike series that had you going to the desert, jungle, city etc.
I'd say worth a rent, but you just have to get used to the controls somewhat, and i found the game unrewarding as i played through or enough going on to keep me wanting more.
avoid this gameBy stuartjc (7 reviews) , 10 Mar 2012Helicopter controls are awful. had to double check when this game was made i seriously thought i was playing a original box title from 10 years ago. 20 mins of this game was all it took for m. e to never want to play it again
Could be betterBy crashdummyuk (4 reviews) , 21 Dec 2011This game is not as good as you would hope, although the helicopter graphics were good it just seemed to get boring very quickly the missions were lame and the music gets on your nerves....but that was just my opinion others may well enjoy this game.
stay away from this gameBy beani5003 (1 review) , 01 Jun 2011Bad controls, clunky interface and slow response time.
i would stay away from this game, its not even worth a rent.
if you want a good flight combat game, get an Ace Combat game, even the ones on the ps2 were better than this.
