If you like fighting games...

For what seems a mediocre Japanese 2D fighter, this game actually has alot of depth and replayability. For starters there are 23 characters (all women) which you pair up with one of 23 Arcana (think GIFS/Summons\Eidelons from Final Fantasy) to battle it out in various locations across Japan.
The fighting system is slick and similar to that of Street fighter 4, however there is a genius mechanic that is unique to Arcana Heart. The 'homing' button. This allows you to home in on your opponent from anywhere on the screen. And the best bit about that, loads of crazy mid air battles!
The graphics are a bit dated but the animation is slick. Also there are practically no load times and the menu system is easy to navigate. The online set up is similar to Mortal Kombat, with rooms full of challengers and also king of the hill type battles aswell.
All in all if you love fighters like me you'll probably enjoy this game, if your not that into them then I'd maybe knock a star off the rating.- Was this review helpful to you?
